This event poster marked Alegría Rampante's concert at La Goyco as part of artist Eduardo Alegría's participation in the Puerto Rican Arts Initiative (PRAI) program, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Northwester University and the University of Texas at Austin.
The passion fruit is my favorite fruit, ever since my grandmother used to make us juice after picking some fruit in her backyard. However, I didn't recall ever seeing the plant's flowers –until a vine in my backyard grew Jack-and-the-Beanstalk style and started putting on magnificent shows for me and my family. With this poster I meant to thank them for their beauty and tartness.
