Alfredo Richner is a designer, illustrator and writer living in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He began sharing his graphic design and illustration oriented work under the Nítido: Taller Creativo banner in 2018, after previously focusing on video production, multimedia, and web projects. Alfredo's recent work includes illustrating the official 2026 National Poetry Month poster for the Academy of American Poets, as well as illustrations for several postcard sets highlighting the work of Poem-a-Day guest editors at Poets.org and production work for the organization's yearly Poetry & the Creative Mind program since 2024.
Past institutional clients include the Puerto Rico Arts Initiative (PRAI), the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), the Puerto Rican Basketball Federation - Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), and the Official residence and office of the Governor of Puerto Rico (La Fortaleza). He also frequently collaborates with independent musicians and artists from Puerto Rico and beyond, including past work for Alegría Rampante, Neysa Blay, Amanda Palmer, and AJ Dávila y Terror Amor (Nacional Records).
He created and served as editor and head writer for Puerto Rico Indie, an online music journal that covered the country's independent music scene from 2009-2021. Although that project is currently on hiatus, he is a contributor to Beehy,pe, a community of music journalists from around the world, sharing the best music from each of their countries. He also created Discos Diáspora, a music label that centers independent Puerto Rican artists. Alfredo has a degree in Architecture from Princeton University.
